My Birthday!!

I had a fabulous birthday!  I can't believe this year is flying by this quick. My birthday was on Monday and thanks to all the lovely people in my life it sure was a special one. <3 Here are some photos of my special day:

At work they made me a little crown to wear. The kids made it so fun to be at work on my birthday! They were all so excited about singing me happy birthday and we got to watch a couple of birthday videos on the Ipad.

I just love Jeff's creative gift wrap

This was what was inside!! Notice the double trucks. This makes it so I have awesome control of my board and can turn easily. I love riding it to class since we live a couple of blocks away from the college.

I have breaking it in that is why it's already dirty. I have rode it every day this week.

Jeff took me to a very nice steak house in Beverly Hills. I loved it! I felt so fancy. This is the view from the patio. It was more fun to see all of the nice cars pulling up to the valet parking.

I know blurry pictures are annoying but it is the only one we got together.  If blurry pictures bother you... just close your eyes for this one.

Me stuffing my pretty little face :)

I came home to these babiess! It was so sweet, my visiting teacher left these and a card on the doorstep for me.
That is what my exciting day consisted of. Thanks everyone for being so sweet to me!!

Banana Bread

So I have discovered in the past that I can not to blog posts from my phone or ipad which is a super bummer!!! This means I have to either do it on the computer down stairs or pull out the lab top. I like doing it on our lab top because it has a lot of our pictures saved on here so if I want to put more from my phone, not a problem. Well..... lucky for you, Jeff pulled out the lab top today for the fantasy foot ball draft!! Yay! So this is just a small update on what's happening over here. I'm still trying to get in the swing of things with the school schedule. Since I'm not working as much I get to see Jeff a lot more which is great for us.... but bad for my school work. This coming Monday(which is my birthday!) is the start date of my online class. I'm hoping once this class starts I can really get my schedule together aka get my butt in gear! I actually really enjoy studying, but only when I'm in the propper setting. In other words, not at home. When I am at home I am too tempted to lounge around and sit on pinterest while the television is on and Jeff is sleeping soundly in bed next to me. Even when I pull out my books I tell my self I'm going to read all the material and then I find myself falling asleep. Jeff caught me in action on Tuesday. I will have you know I did read the material and I got all three questions right on the quiz we had, but before we recieved the questions I was a little concerned my memory would be a little cloudy since I was in the half sleep half read state of mind. You know, where the book starts giving you these bizarr dreams and your brain starts making up fake text. Okay so maybe that doesnt happen to you, but it sure does happen to me!! I have been wanting to post since last Friday but I went to try once and the blog wouldn't let me post for some odd reason. The reason I wanted to post is because, I MADE BANANA BREAD. This was my first attempt ever! I was so excited about it because whenever I have any type of yummy bread like banana, zuccini, pumkin, etc. I always think of my wonderful Grandmother! At work we have to snack the kids and earlier in the week we served them bananas. So by friday they were perfect for making banana bread and my co-worker asked if I would like to take them. I was a little hesitant since I had never made it before, but I decided to take the challenge. I think one of the main reasons is because I wanted a little taste of home. So I called my Grandma for the recipe and..... here you have the end result!

SUCCESS!!!
If you read this whole post I'm proud of you because that was a lot of nonsense talking. I enjoyed writing about it though. The last thing I wanted to post was something that will make you smile on a sad day because everytime I look at this picture I can't stop laughing! soo... hopefully you think this is as funny as I did.
Random I know, but I just couldn't resist posting this.

School

So of course no body probably looks at my blog anymore because I haven't posted anything for a million years. But here I go! I was able to enjoy some time off before school started because I finally quit Subway and got another job working as an aid at a pre-k and kindergarten school for high functioning speacial needs. Most of the kids I work with have some form of Autism. I worked the summer school program which was 12 days and I fell in love with the job. It was so fun getting to know all of the different kids and their personalities. My first day back to work was today, but it was just a prep day. The kids start on Monday and I am looking forward to working with the kids again. I don't have a lot of work hours, but I am planning on focusing a lot on school. I am taking 15 units! Sooo fun right?? Not!! Okay.... I do kind of like school. I know I'm crazy but the thing that I like about it is that you determine how well you will do by doing all your work. :) Now for pictures. It's going to be quite random but thats okay.. My adorable friend Hayley got married in June!!
Hayley's bachelorette party

I did Hayley's hair and makeup for her wedding. I also did her sister Melanie's hair and make up! It was a very busy day for me. :)

 The Santa Clara Church Fiesta

My cutie little nephew that's getting so BIG!

For my niece Peyton's first birthday I was able to practice my talents and make the kids smile. These are some of the face paints that I did.

I didn't catch a picture of this before she had some fun with the puffy paint so that is why there are little random specks. She wanted a cow girl so she got one!... not my best work but I think she enjoyed it.

I painted the pig bean bag toss
I also painted this cowboy and cowgirl cut outs so people could take some silly photos

Just me and the hubbs being sexy in all

Shortly after the party I worked on this for girls camp. Our theme was arise and shine forth so I made this light house for one of the devotionals the Y.C.L. leaders did for all of the other girls.

I made these glow stick hand outs for the day themed raise the torch.

I found these printables online and thought they wer too cute to not use them

read the ingredients

I gave these out for the day that was themed defend your destiny.
Girls camp was a wonderful experience it was so interesting being there as an adult leader. I loved it! I felt the spirit so strong there and the girls taught me so much! I have more pictures but that will have to be for another time. as for now I'm all pictured out. :) nighty night.

Utah

Good news! Our computer is up and running! Let the blogging begin.... again. haha. So with that said, we recently went up to Utah for Marie's graduation from college.  We are so impressed with her accomplishment and all of her hard work. It was a quick trip but it was so fantastic to see everone! Before we left for Utah Jeff wanted a little change. This meant cutting off his lovely locks!..... So sad, but he looks great with his new look.
